Special Features
Humana offers a wide variety of plans, including HMOs and PPOs, as well as dental and vision plans for adults. Humana contracts with many provider networks in all of the states they cover, giving you flexibility as to which doctors you can visit while still providing discounts on health services.
Prescriptions & Drugs
The specific prescriptions that Humana covers depends on the type of Humana plan you purchase. Generally, however, Humana covers both brand name and generic drugs. If a drug is not covered by Humana, you may be able to purchase it at a higher price. For a full list of Humana’s drug guides (also called formularies), visit this page.

Enrollment process
For traditional health insurance, Humana mainly offers group plans. That means you'll have to sign up for Humana health insurance through your employer, if your employer offers it. You may need to choose a different health insurance plan if your employer doesn't offer Humana.
You can't get Humana on the Obamacare health insurance marketplace.
You can also get Humana if you qualify for Medicare. Medicare Part C, also called Medicare Advantage, allows you to purchase health insurance from a private insurer that is sponsored by the U.S. government.
Claims process
If you visit an in-network provider, they should handle your claim for you. However, if you need to make a claim directly to Humana, all you need to do is fill out this form and send it, along with your original itemized bills, to the address on the back of your insurance card.
