Protection Plus offers the same coverage options as State Auto’s standard insurance, and also includes:

The highest level package, State Auto’s AutoXtended® Premier, offers all of the above coverages, plus increased limits for some coverages, including:

$750 pet coverage

Multi-car discount: Insuring two or more vehicles (including motor homes, registered golf carts, and off-road vehicles) on the same policy may get you a discount.

State Auto is not available in Alaska, Hawaii, California, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, Wyoming, and Washington D.C.
However, State Auto was purchased by Liberty Mutual in 2022, which means coverage availability could change in the future.

How to get a quote: State Auto requires customers to use an independent agent to get a quote. Customers who want a quote from State Auto can reach out to an independent agent in their area or they can get a State Auto quote through an online marketplace like Policygenius.
Customer service options: Once you have a State Auto policy, you can make a payment or file a claim online, but customers who have other needs (getting a copy of your policy, getting ID cards, updating your contact information, making policy changes, or canceling your policy) need to reach out to their agent directly.
